Zuhra Dadgar Shafiq, Strategy, Performance and Evaluation Director
Zuhra serves as Strategy Performance and Evaluation Director at AfD. Her mandate is to address the strategic expansion of the organization, primarily focusing on initiatives addressing community development, health, education and women empowerment. She also served as a member of AfD’s board of trustees for 3 years.
Fanny Naville, Project Manager (Consultant)
At WHO Fanny was in charge of building up a regional information management capacity to improve overall disease surveillance & response at regional and national levels. For the Small Arms Survey she implemented information management capacity on all aspects of small arms and armed violence.
Fanny joined AfD in 2014 as Project Officer.
Dr. Aseel Mugahed, Public Health Specialist
Dr. Aseel is a medical doctor with an M.B.B.S degree from the Faculty of Medicine and General Surgery and four years experience in the field of social services. In her role as a medical officer working on health projects, she evaluates key indicators from AfD’s health facility reports to verify their completeness and accuracy. She reports to the strategy performance and evaluation director to highlight gaps and deficiencies and suggest improvements. Dr. Aseel is fluent in Arabic, English and French.
Anna Marie McNamara, Human Resources and Finance Officer
Anne Marie acquired her HR experience in Silicon Valley, CA, in a number of high tech and Biotech companies, in a back office capacity. She has worked on multi-state benefit plans, retirement plans, and software implementations as project manager and super user.
Anne Marie joined AfD in March 2016 as the HR & Finance Officer in order to update policies, review compliance and put procedures into place that will allow organized and methodical project development and growth.
Anne Marie holds a BA from Waterford Institute of Technology.
Dominique Chatelet, Pharma Supply and Management Advisor
Dominique Chatelet is a pharmacist working in Geneva. She also holds a Certificate of Advanced Studies from the IUED (Institut Universitaire d’Étude du Développement, the former Graduate Institute in Geneva). She was involved in several training programs on palliative care and morphine use in Africa (Uganda, Mali, Burkina-Faso, Ivory Coast) with Hospice Africa and AMCC (Alliance Mondiale Contre le Cancer).
At Action for Development, she contributes by supplying the Community Health Center in Kabul with Swiss pharmaceutical products.
Sonia Goncalves, Communications and Social Media Intern
Corinne Brodeur, Project Development and Communications Intern
Corinne holds a degree in International Studies and Political Science from the University of Montreal, as well as a Graduate Diploma from Concordia University. Her passion for intercultural relations and development have led her to take part in projects in Burkina Faso and in Peru, as well as in her native Canada. Her work in journalism was published and broadcast in Canadian media, including the CBC. Upon arrival in Switzerland, Corinne redirected herself towards work in the non-profit sector, which allows her to combine both her fields of studies and her passions. Corinne contributes to AfD’s work since April 2016 by participating in the communications strategy, project development and fundraising. She speaks French, English, Spanish and German
